Frog Pond Magic

A while back, while hiking, I stumbled upon a small frog pond.  It was early afternoon and the angle of the sun, lighting, and nature itself came together in a very magical way.

There was an electric green moss growing in that crystal clear pond and the surface of the water reflected the surrounding trees.  The sky was a magnificent deep hue of blue.  As you can see, I captured several shots with my cell phone camera.

I visited this pond several times thereafter and the conditions for these images never repeated themselves.  Amazing, even the same places, events, and times can never be experienced twice the same 🙂

  1. “Leaf moments” These are moments that you took the time to take notice. They’re moments that you more than likely won’t see or experience again. We try to relive or recapture the same moment, but it doesn’t happen quite the same way. The “leaf” hits your windshield and then flits away….leaving you with an “awwwww” heart sensation.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love your words and the pictures! Such a metaphor of life itself, nothing lasts forever…that’s the good news and the bad news.
I took some very similar photos with my phone walking in a nature reserve in Naples, Florida that I did a few paintings from. I think I will dig those out and see if they inspire another blog.
Thank you so much for sharing!
